About
This is a place for reading old books slowly.
The Taoist texts — the Tao Te Ching, the Zhuangzi, and what grew around them — have survived two and a half thousand years mostly by being useful to ordinary people with ordinary problems. They are not a religion you need to join or a system you need to believe. They are a set of observations about how things actually move, written by people who had been paying attention.
What you will find here is one reader's notes: chapter readings, stories retold, and attempts to apply any of it to a life that involves email.
Nothing here is authoritative. Take what works.
